A late Gerard Gilmore point snatched victory for Setanta in this Ulster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship Final against Middletown of Armagh.
Setanta 1-11 Middletown 0-13
The Donegal were always up against it against a fancied Middletown side at Owenbeg.
But with Setanta digging deep in the opening half, they trailed Middletown 0–10 to 0–08 at the interval.
It looked like the Armagh side had overcome the Setnata challenge when they pushed four points ahead but two frees from Gilmore kept them in touch before a fine goal from Josh McGee Cronolly but the Donegal side a point in front.
Middletown drew level but Ryan Gaffney missed a penalty in the 60th minute which would have put MIddletown ahead again.
Gilmore struck again with another fine free as Middletown missed a last-gasp free to level things again.
Setanta now face Eire Óg from Tyrone in the final for what will be another historic day for the men from The Cross.
