Brazen thief strikes as Christmas gifts unloaded from car

Gardaí are investigating the theft of Christmas presents while the owner was unloading their car. 

The brazen thief pounced at the Back Lane Upper, Ramelton on Friday the 29th of December between the times of 5.30pm and 6pm. A resident had just arrived home and was in the process of taking bags into their home from their car when the theft occurred. Among the stolen items were a pearl necklace and earrings, two pairs of ladies trainers (Asics and Brooks) and a pair of custom orthotics. 

“We appeal to anybody who may have observed any suspicious activity in that area between that short timeframe to make contact with Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.

“If anybody was in the area between those times who had a dashcam we ask them to make the footage available to us.”
