Students from Scoil Eoin Baiste in Carrigart delivered peak hydration research at the BT Young Scientist Primary Science Fair yesterday.

Scoil Eoin Baiste is the only Primary School from Donegal at this year’s event in the RDS.

The class investigated the hydration levels of 9 different soft drinks with Prime topping the poll.

However, the class also found that Prime and other sports drinks should only be drunk after a period of intense sports and when you have lost fluids after being sick.

The children presented their project to hundreds of people attending the Science Fair on Thursday, alongside their proud teacher Breda Mc Geever.

The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition continues until Saturday 13th of January.
