The volunteer Donegal Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT) is currently seeking new recruits to help them continue their vital service.
They have had a very busy 2024 so far, with five callouts in 13 days that have brought them to Muckish, Errigal and Lough Salt. Last year, they also saw a big increase in callouts to Sliabh Liag.
“Our county is vast and as we enter a new year we are looking to expand our team,” a DMRT spokesperson said.
“We are seeking people to come on and help us continue to assist those members of the public who find themselves in difficulty on the hill and need our help.
