Councillors in the Lifford-Stranorlar MD have been informed that work is now ‘substantially complete’ on a damaged bridge in Cloghan.

Arbatt Bridge was closed for almost a year due to a hole that appeared in the decking following Storm Franklin in February 2022. There was also a long wait to find a suitable contractor to carry out the necessary works.

“Works are substantially complete and the road has been reopened,” a council report stated.
