The 2023 Donegal Person of the Year is to be revealed on February 10th next.

The recipient will be announced by the Donegal Association but this year things are a little different.

The name in the envelope will be announced at a function in Rose’s Bar in Creeslough on Saturday, February 10th.

The honour is usually announced at a function in Dublin.

And while the identity of the new Person of the Year will be announced locally, the big night to honour that person will still take place in Dublin.

Indeed the Gala Ball will take place in The Bonnington Hotel, Dublin on Saturday, 6th of April from 6.30pm.

‘The People of Creeslough’ were the joint recipients of the current title, which paid tribute to the village’s response to the tragedy of Friday 7th October, 2022.
