Eight artworks by Donegal students are set to feature in an exhibition of winning paintings from the past 10 years of the Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

The exhibition at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will feature works by two of the top prize-winners from last year’s 69th Texaco Children’s Art Competition – brothers Neal Gallagher and Charles (Dominic) Gallagher from Castlefinn.

Little Neal Gallagher was just one-years-old when he painted a stunning picture, titled ‘ ‘Sunshine and Rainbows’. The CPI Creche pupil’s art scooped the third prize his U6 category to become the youngest-ever prizewinner in the national contest.

Neal shared his success with his older brother, Charles, who won second prize in the same category!
