Witnesses sought after boy injured in collision with vehicle

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a young boy was struck by a vehicle in Letterkenny yesterday evening.

The collision took place at around 6.55pm on the Ramelton Road in the Ballyraine area. The vehicle was travelling from the Polestar Roundabout towards Ballyraine Roundabout at the time. All parties involved were at the scene upon the arrival of Gardaí.

 The boy was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH) where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage, should contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
