Tributes paid after death of Liverpool star Conor Bradley’s father

Tributes have been paid to the late father of Liverpool star Conor Bradley.

Joe Bradley passed away earlier today following a short illness.

His sad passing comes just days after County Tyrone native Conor brilliantly broke into the first-team setup at Anfield, the Aghyaran man putting in a star performance against Chelsea that grabbed back-page headlines across the Irish Sea.

The former teenage Finn Valley AC athlete has been a star of Liverpool’s academy system for several years, having stepped into the first-team fold as Trent Alexander-Arnold has battled injury.

It’s understood that it is Conor’s decision as to whether he will take part in tomorrow’s Premier League game at Arsenal following the passing of his father.

In a statement, Liverpool said:

“Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the death of Conor Bradley’s father, Joe, today. The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Conor and all of the Bradley family at this very difficult and sad time.”

“On behalf of Conor, LFC strongly urges that the family’s privacy is fully respected at this time.”
