Two well-known Donegal businessmen have taken over the running of the Highlands Hotel in Glenties.

PJ McDermott and Shaun Callaghan have vowed it will be “business as usual” for the famous hotel in the town’s Main Street.

The men announced they have taken over the management of the Highlands on social media.

They also thanked locals for the continued support they have received.

They said “To all our Valued Guests, Customers and Community Members. We would like to inform you that the owners PJ McDermott and Shaun Callaghan have taken over the management of The Highlands Hotel.

“Rest assured, everything will continue to run smoothly and business is as usual. You can still look forward to enjoying great food, hosting memorable functions, and being an integral part of our vibrant local community just as before.

“If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to assist with any future bookings and queries.

“We will continue to open Thursday – Sunday (Closed Monday – Wednesday) for the month of February and look forward to getting back into full swing in March.

“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and loyalty.”
