Abbey VS 2-10 v 0-08 Our Lady & St Patrick’s

Donegal’s Abbey Vocational School are taking the MacLarnon Cup home with them after a dominant display.

They defeated Our Lady and St Patrick’s Knock in Armagh this afternoon with a strong performance.

Abbey VS got out to a storming start, establishing control of the game in the opening 25 minutes, a Conor McCahill goal making it 1-06 to 0-01 in favour of Abbey at that point.

Our Lady and St Patrick’s were able to put together a slightly stronger second half but the result was never in doubt for Abbey, Kevin Muldoon slotting home their second goal of the game in the dying moments to seal a memorable win.

Abbey VS now become the fourth Donegal school ever to lift the MacLarnon Cup, and will now enter the All-Ireland semi-final where they will face off against Dunmore CS of Galway.
