One of Donegal’s best-known local supermarkets has been forced to close temporarily.
Andies Superstore in Stranorlar has served the people of the Twin Towns for many years.
The store has now been closed until next week after a major electrical fault.
Staff at the store were forced to call the fire brigade after the fault at the shop.
A spokesperson said “We, on behalf of Andies Supermarket Stranorlar, wish to inform our customers that the store will be closed until Monday/ Tuesday of next week due to a major electrical fault.
“We would like to sincerely thank The Stranorlar Fire Brigade, the local businesses and suppliers that came to our assistance and our wonderful staff.
“All their help and support was very much appreciated. We will be in touch with a definite opening date. Thank you very much for your understanding.”
The supermarket is owned by former county councillor Alice Bonner and her family.
We wish them all the success when they reopen.
