It was another busy week for Buncrana Golf Club, with the course there in excellent condition.
Competition Results
There was a great turnout last weekend for the Open Pairs Scramble as this format takes the pressure off the individual and gives the pairings the opportunity to score. The course is in excellent condition at present, however with the fast greens and some tight pins, position scoring was never going to be easy. The pairing that took full advantage of the conditions was Gavin Smith (21) and Martin Barber (45) who took the overall first prize by virtue of a superior back 9.
Gavin and Martin shot a tremendous 26 pts over the back 9 to ensure their first victory of the year. The full results of the Teams of 2 Open Stableford Scramble played last Saturday and Sunday are as follows:
