A cold night is in store for the northwest this Thursday, with a risk of frost and ice as wintry weather sets in again.
Met Eireann is forecasting lows of between -1 and +2 degrees overnight.
“Some showers will be heavy with hail, and sleet is possible on high ground,” the Ulster forecast says.
Friday will also be cool with sunny spells and scattered showers.
Tomorrow’s forecast says hail showers are likely again, with highest temperatures between 5 and 8 degrees.
Donegal County Council is dispatching gritters to all main routes in the county from 6am on Friday morning.
