Job Vacancy: Rockhill House hiring Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician

Rockhill House is a luxury Manor House Hotel and spa set in 100 acres of woodland overlooking Letterkenny Co. Donegal.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Technician to join the Team at Rockhill House on a Part time or Full Time basis.

DUTIES:

  • Process weekly payroll.
  • Maintain accounts payable ledger.
  • Liaising with hotel management in monitoring and collecting the debtor’s ledger.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • VAT returns and reconciliation
  • Daily cash and credit card reconciliation.
  • Monitor purchase orders and supplier invoices
  • Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts including P&L accounts, KPI’s and Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Assist in the annual audit process
  • Provide timely reports and forecasts to assist in the financial management of the property.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • SAGE software including accounting and payroll packages.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and develop leadership skills.
  • Experience with online Procurement systems an advantage
  • Experience with online management systems an advantage.
  • Strong people and communications skills
  • Ability to work with management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate at the highest level of integrity and transparency.
  • Hotel experience an advantage.

Onsite attendance essential.

Experience:

  • Accounting: 2 years (required)
