Met Éireann is forecasting a mainly dry, cold and sunny Easter weekend for Ulster.
However, there is a risk of some hail showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Today will see a cold and frosty but mostly dry start with sunny spells and isolated showers at first. More frequent and widespread showers will spread from the south of the province in the afternoon, turning heavy at times with the risk of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
There will be a good deal of dry weather overnight with clear spells and just isolated showers. Frost is possible with lowest temperatures of -2 to 3 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Tomorrow will see a largely dry but cold start with sunny spells. However, blustery showers will spread northwards across the country during the afternoon, some turning heavy with hail. Highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong at times in the southwest.
Easter Sunday will be quite cloudy at times with continued showers, turning heavy in some places. Brighter and sunnier conditions will develop for a time in the afternoon. Milder with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds.
