Main pic: Bernie Boyle, Rosie Lynch, Karen Parker and Patrick Trimble who all competed in Sligo over Easter weekend.

Over the Easter weekend we had a couple of our Athletes head to Sligo for the Carney 10k and half marathon.

Bernie Boyle decided to run the 10k and had a strong performance finishing second place in a superb PB time 40:17. Patrick Trimble ran this race last year and again had another strong performance running 1:21:17 for 5th place overall and 1st M50. Rosie Lynch took on the challenging distance as well finishing in a great time of 1:52:09, Karen Devenney has been working hard and pushing herself over longer distances and was delighted with a time of 1:54:39.

A number of Rosses AC athletes also took part in the Dungloe park run last Saturday morning with many others getting last runs in before the Omagh half marathon this weekend.

This weekend also sees the All Ireland Juvenile Indoor Track and Field, Day 2 and Day 3, in Athlone. Good luck to all our athletes, parents, coaches, officials travelling to compete against the best in the country to take in the experience with the hard work over the winter months that has seen them get this far which is a great achievement.
