Gardai are seeking the driver of a white van which damaged a fence in Letterkenny.

The van was turning on the Gortlee Road when it struck the fence at around 4pm on Wednesday last, March 6th.

The van, with a partial registration of ’10 DL’, was towing a trailer at the time.

It is believed that the trailer connected with the fence.

A Garda spokesperson said “There was heavy funeral related traffic in the area at the time so we are hopeful that someone may have seen this van or may have captured it on dashcam footage.

“We appeal to anybody who was in the area in a van similar to this with a trailer attached to come and speak with us if they believe that they may have caused the damage.

“They may not have realised at the time that damage had been caused. Gardaí may be contacted on 074-9167100 in relation to the incident.
