Two hospitalised and road remains closed following Inishowen crash

Two men have been hospitalised and a road remains closed following a crash in Inishowen this morning.

The crash happened on the Mountain Road at Malin Head at around 6am.

The emergency services rushed to the scene and the occupants of a car were assessed at the scene.

The casualties were then taken to Donegal Community Hospital for treatment.

Their condition is not known at this stage.

The road at Umgall Junction remains closed to traffic and diversions are in place.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed “Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene of a two car road traffic collision at Malin Head, Co. Donegal this morning at approximately 6am.

“Two men have been taken to Donegal Community Hospital for treatment. Investigations are ongoing.
