A driver with cocaine in their system was arrested, as Gardaí were out on patrols yesterday as part of National Slow Down Day.
Gardaí from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested a driver on suspicion of drug driving after they tested positive for cocaine last night.
The driver had been stopped for speeding initially before recording a positive drug test, being caught doing 126KPH in a 100KPH zone in the Dromore area.
Elsewhere, a driver in the Newtowncunningham area was caught doing 139KPH last night.
Also two drivers were fined for speeding in the St Johnston area for doing 114KPH and 104KPH in a 80KPH zone respectively, and another driver was fined in the Donegal area, caught at 122 KPH.
Donegal Gardaí have again urged drivers to slow down and stop taking risks on the roads, after a busy day of speeding detections on National Slow Down Day.
