Singing cowboy Ollie Hepburn, aka ‘Texas Ollie’, will be hoping to hit all the right notes on a new series of Love in the Country.

The well-known horse trainer is one of six rural singletons selected for the heartwarming series on RTE.

A native of Raphoe, now living in Glenties, horse whisperer Ollie gained his nickname from his time working in Texas on a dude ranch. Aged in his 70s, Ollie says he’s young at heart. He’s had a rich life travelling around the world training horses to do amazing tricks and bring delight to young and old.

No doubt he’ll have many tales to tell when he begins dating on Love in the Country during this summer.

Presenting his dating profile, he says: “I’m a cowboy, I’m not looking for a beauty queen, just a little bit of company. Someone to talk to. Someone to ring me up and say ‘hey Ollie, let’s just go and enjoy the craic’. Someone with a good heart and doesn’t mind making me tea sometimes.”

He promises loyalty, laughter and great dancing!

This season of Love in the Country features three great guys and three gorgeous girls, with a broad range of ages and interests in the mix, there might be someone who catches your eye?

Speaking about the six-part series, presenter Anna Geary said: “It’s very exciting to get back on the road, travelling the length and breadth of Ireland, helping people of all ages find love. I get to be almost like their wing woman, their confidante, cheering them on.”

If you’re interested in going on a date with Ollie, email love@kiteentertainment.com and put ‘Ollie’ in the subject line.
