Derelict Raphoe property vandalised twice in a week

Gardaí are investigating reports of two recent incidents of vandalism at a derelict business premises in Raphoe.

The first incident is believed to have occurred at the former pub on Meetinghouse Street between Midnight on Friday, May 24, and 2pm last Friday.

Entry was gained to the building through a side wooden door. Graffiti was sprayed on the walls inside and some fire extinguishers were set off.

The second attack occurred at the same building last Saturday, June 1, between 9am and 8.40pm.

The building was entered again and the interior was ransacked. Nothing is believed to have been stolen from the building during the course of these incidents. 

“We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity in that area between the above dates and times to make contact with us,” Garda Niall Maguire said.
