The Buncrana Electoral Count has been completed with Sinn Fein and Fianna Fail taking two seats while the new 100% Redress party also taking a seat in this five seater.

Jack Murray topped the poll and was elected early in the day.

But it took a number of hours for the remaining seats to be sorted here at the count centre at Carndonagh Community School.

Joy Beard from the 100% Redress Party and Fianna Fail Fionán Bradley from Fianna Fail are the new faces in the council here.

Bradley was backed by outgoing councillor Rena Donaghey who decided to step down from politics.

Terry Crossan also retained his seat for Sinn Fein as did Paul Canning for Fianna Fail.
