The Inishowen Vintage Show, scheduled to take place in Moville today has been cancelled following a tragic road accident in the locality.
A young male pedestrian, aged in his 20s, lost his life in the early hours of this morning in the Ballynally area.
The three-day charity event, known as one of the biggest vintage shows in the North West, had kicked off on Friday with two nights of entertainment. It was due to culminate today with a showcase of vintage vehicles, demonstrations, and family activities.
Organisers have expressed condolences over the unfortunate and tragic circumstances.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will today examine the scene of the crash, and local traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from the Moville area around the time of the collision are requested to provide it to Gardaí.
