A number of Donegal competitors took home medals at last week’s Irish Open in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Members of the Rilion Gracie Ireland club in Donegal town and Letterkenny travelled to the Gormanston Park Sports Complex in County Meath for the event.

“This is the most prestigious tournament in our sport in the country and it’s held once a year,” a spokesperson for the club said.

“We are home with many Irish champions and this is the first year the team won overall in two disciplines –  the GI and no GI.”

The team was made up of team members from Rilion Gracie Ireland academies in Letterkenny HQ, Donegal town and Omagh . For more information, you can follow Rilion Gracie Ireland on Facebook and Instagram.
