Gardaí have arrested three men after a major ATM fraud scheme was uncovered.
According to Gardaí, a total of €90,000 cash withdrawals were blocked at machines in Dublin and Meath, with the intention of then being collected by criminals at a later date.
The ATMs blocked in question were located in Dublin and Meath, using specialist “cash trapping” devices.
Gardaí from the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau arrested the three men, aged in their 20s and 40s, on Friday evening.
A quantity of cash and cash trapping devices were seized, and the men are being held at a Garda station in Dublin as investigations continue.
