Gardai in Bundoran are investigating two ‘creeper’ burglaries which took place in the seaside town in recent days.

Both break-ins occurred while the householders were in their properties.

The two burglaries took place in the West End area of the town.

The first took place between 11pm on Monday the 8th of July and 7am on Tuesday the 9th of July.

Damage was caused to a window at the front of a property and entry was gained. A sum of cash was stolen from a handbag within the house and the key to the back door was also stolen.

Gardaí are investigating another burglary that occurred at a different property in the same area of West End in the early hours of Thursday the 11th of July (between midnight and 8am).

A rear bathroom window was forced open and entry was gained. A purse was stolen from a coat pocket within the house. The purse contained gift cards, bank cards, a driving licence and a sum of cash.

A Garda spokesperson said “If anybody can assist with information we ask them to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.”
