Dewhirst makes European Championship 400m hurdles semi-final with stunning run

Young Donegal athlete Ethan Dewhirst has qualified for the semi-final of the 400m hurdles to the European Under-18 Athletics Championships after a storming heat.

Dewhirst set a new lifetime best in Slovakia earlier today.

The Tir Chonaill AC athlete won the heat with a stunning time of 52.65 seconds.

The run was more than a second faster that his best time of 53.82 seconds which he ran last May.
