Gardaí are investigating two separate burglaries at businesses in Letterkenny town centre in recent weeks.

Two business premises on Market Square and Castle Street both suffered damage during the incidents.

The first incident took place at a premises on Market Square on Monday, July 22nd, at approximately 3.35pm. A downstairs window was smashed, allowing entry to the building. Damage was caused to doors and a number of other items within the property. Gardaí have confirmed that nothing was stolen.

The second burglary targeted a business on Castle Street. This incident occurred sometime between lunchtime on Thursday, July 18th, and lunchtime on Wednesday, July 24th. A rear window was broken, providing access to the building. In this case, thieves made off with a copper cylinder and pipe. Damage was also caused to the interior of the premises.

Gardaí are appealing to anybody who may have observed any suspicious activity in this area between those dates, or if they can offer any relevant information, to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
