The Buncrana Golf Club is a community golf club that operates on a non-profit making basis that provides a low cost golfing facility for the local community, surrounding area and visitors. A committee made up of members run the club on a voluntary basis and the membership fees are maintained at the lowest possible rate to promote the game of golf to all. The club also provides its facilities free of charge to other community projects over the years, the Buncrana Pantomime Group, Buncrana ABC, ICARE, RNLI, the Donegal Hospice, the Foyle Hospice to name but a few. These organisations have the use of the clubhouse function room or the golf course to raise funds or hold functions at various times over the years.
