New garda patrol car hits the road in Ballyshannon

Gardaí in Ballyshannon have welcomed the arrival of a new patrol car to the area.

The 241 Skoda is part of six new additions to the fleet nationally, with others assigned to Portlaoise, Naas, Blanchardstown, Kevin Street Dublin 2, and Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.

“The new Patrol Car will help support our work in keeping people safe and our roads safe,” gardaí in Ballyshannon said.

Nationally, the garda fleet comprises 3,531 vehicles, including 1,041 marked and 1,592 unmarked cars as well as vans, motorcycles and 4X4s.
