Katie George Dunlevy seeks to pedal for the Paralympic podium today

Three-time Paralympic gold-medal winners Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal are on the track today in the Women’s B 1000m Time Trial.

Dunlevy, whose father John is from Mountcharles, already has three gold and two silver Paralympic medals won in Rio and Tokyo as well as five gold medals at UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships.

Dunlevy is based in Crawley, West Sussex and has a background in rowing, she has a visual impairment. Her sighted pilot Eve McCrystal is one of Ireland’s best cyclists having won multiple individual titles.

Today’s heat is expected to be at 12:58 Irish time, with the final at 15:34.
