Main pic: Paddy Solan who completed his 100th Park Run with club members Paul McKelvey, Charlie O’Donnell, Kevea Gallagher and Bernie Boyle.

Rosses AC’s Kevea Gallagher took the long trip to Wicklow to take part in the B&I mountain running championships trials over 6k with 275m/900 feet elevation in the first 3k.

There was a high calibre field with athletes from all over the country and Keava finished in a great 16th place.

At the Longford Marathon Relay, Collete Boner joined a 4 person team to do the marathon relay. The team had a fantastic result finishing 3rd place of the 20 teams competing.

The Dungloe Park Run continues each weekend starting at 9:30am at the Riverwalk. This is a great local event that happens every Saturday morning thanks to local volunteers. A great place to run, jog or walk 5k for all ages and levels of fitness and get your weekend off to a great start. Last weekend there were 38 people who took part with Paddy Dolan achieving the goal of having completed 100 park runs.

Upcoming fixtures to note: Sept 6th Donegal 5k Road Championships Milford , Sept 15th Donegal Masters XC Finn Valley, Sept 22nd Donegal XC Relays and Juvenile Relays Finn Valley, Sept 29th Donegal Senior XC and Donegal Juvenile Uneven Ages Carndonagh, Oct 6th Donegal Novice and Donegal Even Age Championships Mullaghderg.
