Gardaí have arrested two people after a dangerous driving incident in Buncrana.

Videos of the incident spread on social media over this weekend, after two cars were videoed doing donuts on Buncrana’s busy Lower Main Street on Friday evening.

Two Lexus cars, one silver and one black car, brought traffic to a standstill as they did donuts in the middle of a crossroads.

In a statement this afternoon, Gardaí confirmed that they were actively investigating the incident.

Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating incidents of dangerous driving that occurred at Lower Main Street, Buncrana on the evening of Friday the 20th of September,” they said.

“As part of their investigation they have identified and arrested the two drivers involved. We wish to thank the public for any assistance given.”
