Celebrity garden designer Diarmuid Gavin will be in Glenties this Friday to offer his insights at a public information evening for the Brian Friel Centre.

All are welcome to the event in the Market Hall on Friday, September 27th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

This event aims to provide the community with an update on the development of the Brian Friel Centre and the Brian Friel Town Trail proposal.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the plans and ambitions for the Centre, which is being developed at the Old Courthouse and The Laurels. Members of the Brian Friel Trust will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the project’s progress.

Award-winning garden designer and broadcaster, Diarmuid Gavin, will also be present to share his vision for The Laurels landscaping plan.

The Brian Friel Centre development is currently funded by The Heritage Council and Donegal County Council as part of the County Donegal Heritage Plan. This initiative aligns with the Glenties Historic Towns Initiative (HT19192), which is a partnership between The Brian Friel Trust CLG, Donegal County Council, Dedalus Architecture, property owners, and the local community funded by The Heritage Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
