St. Eunan’s College pupil Charlie Patton finished top of the leaderboard on Tuesday last at the prestigious Golf Ireland Ulster Schools Boys Golf Competition which was played at Omagh Golf Club.

Charlie, aged just 13, playing off a seven [7] handicap on the day, returned a magnificent score of +3 on a card which hosted four [4] birdies and which has seen his club handicap at Letterkenny Golf Club reduced to the single figure of 9.

Charlie, who has been a member of Letterkenny GC Junior/Juvenile golf programme, is coached by local PGA Professional Seamus Mc Monagle and is the son of renowned single figure handicapper Seamus Patton.

He will now represent Ulster Schools Boys and St. Eunan’s College in the All-Ireland GUI Ulster Schools Boys Golf competition, date & venue to be announced.

Well done Charlie!
