Cartha Boyle won the first local South West Donegal Darts tournament of the season in Kilcar House following a 5-1 win over holder John Meencha.

Cartha, who was runner up in this tournament in 2021, was in fantastic form all evening showing why he’s recently got onto the Irish darts panel.

In this double in double out event which was first held in Big Francie’s in Ardara in 2012, it was John who took the opening leg, before Cartha tied it up with a 110 checkout, a 108 start made it 2-1 and the final leg to win was a 68 checkout.

Semi-finalist were Declan Quinn and James Byrne (Carrick) who both finished on 11 points in their round robin groups just one point behind the finalists.

Thanks to all who entered and helped out on the night on what was a very enjoyable night of darts.
