Hollywood star Bill Murray drops in to say hello to Donegal hotel staff

Hollywood star Bill Murray turned an ordinary night in a Donegal hotel into a starstruck occasion.

Staff at Caisleáin Óir Hotel in Annagry, West Donegal were going about their business when the star and his friends popped in.

Word quickly spread amongst staff that the Ghostbusters actor was dining with them.

And when Murray heard the staff were big fans he just had to oblige.

The Hollywood A-lister popped into the kitchen and posed for a picture with all the staff after he had enjoyed his dinner.

He was so impressed with the cooking at the hotel that he even left with a little doggy bag!

And he certainly proved a hit as he posed for pictures and signed autographs.

“What a gentleman. We had the privilege of having Bill Murray in for dinner and he popped in to thank and meet our entire kitchen crew. Thank you Bill,” gushed a spokesperson for Caisleáin Óir.
