The release date has been announced for a gripping new crime drama filmed in the Donegal Gaeltacht.

Crá, a home-produced murder mystery, will air on TG4 on 11th of November (9.30pm).

New images from the six-part series hint at high drama and intrigue from the story centred on the discovery of a woman’s body in a bog.

The series stars Dónall Ó Héalai (Monster, Foscadh), Alex Murphy (The Young Offenders) and newcomer Hannah Brady.

Crá – coming to TG4 at 21:30 on November 11th.

In an isolated village in the northwest of Ireland, with its own laws and codes of conduct, a murder investigation begins when Garda Conall Ó Súilleabháin’s (Dónall Ó Héalai) missing mother Sabine is discovered buried in the bog, having been missing for 15 years.

Conall is forbidden from working the case but that’s not going to stop him.

Meanwhile, a young journalist, Ciara-Kate (Hannah Brady), decides to produce a podcast about the case. Conall soon realizes that Ciara-Kate can get access to people who refuse to speak to those working on the official investigation.

If Conall wants justice for his mother, he has no choice but to join forces with this journalist.

Their investigation leads them on a dark path and begs the question: can justice really be blind?

CRÁ was commissioned by TG4 and BBC Northern Ireland, with generous support from Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland, the Media Commission, and Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund. The series was also made possible with the support of the Irish Tax Incentive for Creative Screen.
