Tow-truck used to steal engineless van in Bridgend

A tow truck was used steal an engineless van in Bridgend on Thursday last.

Gardaí are appealing for help after the theft of the blue Citroen Dispatch van (long wheel base) from Elaghbeg Business Park in Bridgend between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

Work was being carried out on the van and as a result the engine had been removed and no registration plates were attached.

The van is believed to have been towed away by a truck in the direction of the Derry border.

A Garda spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have observed a flatbed type truck in the area before the theft or afterwards when the van was being towed away by it to make contact with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.

“We are anxious to speak with anybody who may have been in the area with a dash cam between those times also. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
