Job Vacancy: Donegal Sectoral Executive opportunity with Donegal County Enterprise Fund

Donegal County Enterprise Fund on behalf of Local Enterprise Office Donegal seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Donegal Sectoral Executive.

3 Year Fixed-term Full-time Contract

The position is full-time and will be based at the Enterprise Fund Business Centre, Ballyraine, Letterkenny.

The executive will report to the Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Donegal (or their assigns). The duties and functions shall include:

  • Liaising and engaging with a range of sectoral initiatives including Engineering, Women, Food, Creatives and Youth Entrepreneurship.
  • Engaging with businesses on a one-to-one basis and identifying their capabilities and needs.
  • Engaging with second level schools in the county to encourage participation in the Student Enterprise Programme.
  • Agreeing and managing Service Level Agreements including KPIs with the partner organisations.
  • Driving greater engagement in and membership of the networks.
  • Organisation of business specific interventions, programme and events.
  • Raising the profile of the relevant sector within the county as an attractive sector for career development.
  • Identifying and organising training and Management Development programmes to support peer to peer learning and development.
  • Facilitating inter-firm co-operation and collaboration.
  • Organising and implementing sectoral action plans.
  • Representing the sectoral interests at public fora, inter-cluster meetings etc.
  • Carrying out any other duties assigned by the Head of Enterprise LEO Donegal.

Candidates should ideally have:

  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience of working in or with small businesses.
  • A relevant third level qualification.
  • Previous experience of business development and collaboration.
  • A good knowledge of current challenges and emerging opportunities for small business.
  • Previous experience in project management.
  • Be self-motivated and ambitious.
  • Have good writing and IT skills. 

Salary: €49,706.00
