Frightening experience for Letterkenny resident who found intruder in house

A Letterkenny resident had a frightening experience when they found an intruder in their house last week.

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incident that occurred in the area of Glendale Drive, Glencar, on Tuesday the 15th of October between approximately 7.45pm and 8pm. 

A resident was upstairs when they heard someone in the downstairs kitchen rummaging around. They went downstairs to discover that the intruder had left and the back door was wide open. Nothing was stolen from the house. 

Gardaí are asking anybody who observed any suspicious activity, or people on foot in that area during that short time frame, or if they can assist with relevant information, to come forward.
