Gardaí are appealing for information after glass chippings were stolen from a grave in Inishowen.

The incident occurred at the graveyard beside the Sacred Heart Church in Carndonagh sometime between July and October this year.

The grave had been covered in green glass chippings in July. However, at some stage between July 17 th and October 17 th, the entire covering of glass chippings were removed and stolen from the grave.

“We are anxious to progress this investigation and so we urge anybody who may have observed any type of suspicious activity around the graveyard over the course of those few months to make contact with us,” Garda Sean Sweeney said.

Anybody who may be able to assist with relevant information should make contact with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. The Garda Confidential Line may also be contacted on 1800 666 111.
