Update: Mountcharles Main St reopens after early morning incident

Gardaí have confirmed that Mountcharles Main Street has reopened following this morning’s incident in which a pedestrian was knocked down and seriously injured.

The incident occurred on the town’s main street shortly after 4.30am.

A man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries sustained during the collision. No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who were in the area at the time between 4am and 4.40am, and have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this available.
