A woman aged in her 70s has been killed following a tragic road accident in County Cork.
The woman was struck by a vehicle on the Main Street in Charleville yesterday afternoon.
She was with another pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, who was also struck in the incident.
Gardaí say that both were rushed to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries, with the woman later being pronounced dead.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward, and have asked anyone with mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident to get in contact also.
