Fianna Fáil Senator and Director of Elections for Donegal, Niall Blaney, has released details on the agreement reached to divide the area between their three candidates.

“Former TD and Minister of State, Pat the Cope Gallagher, will have the Electoral areas of Stranorlar, Donegal and Glenties,” he said.

“He will also have the following booths in the Milford electoral area; Devlinreagh (now named Mulroy), Carrigart, Downings, Termon and Kilmacrenan.”

Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue will have the remainder of the Milford Electoral Area, as well as the electoral areas of Letterkenny and Inishowen.

Surprise candidate, Claudia Kennedy, will campaign across the constituency, but with a particular emphasis on the Finn Valley and the Donegal EA.

“We are asking the people of Donegal to vote for our candidates 1, 2 and 3 in order of your choice,” Sen Blaney added.

“But be mindful of the agreement reached by the candidates and to do all you can collectively to maximise the vote and bring home at least two seats.”
