Team Northwest Basketball have strung some fine performances together, with two wins in their last two games.

They first overcame the Waterford Vikings in a dramatic contest last weekend, the final score going Team Northwest’s way as they won 75-73.

Then yesterday they had strong home support behind them as they hosted Carrick Cruisers from Monaghan at ATU.

Despite being down 7 points at the half, Team Northwest mounted a comeback in the third quarter to take a 56-55 lead going into the final period of play.

They would press the advantage, with fine scoring streaks seeing Team Northwest seal the win, 76-69.

Some top offensive performances from Tyler Mutemasango and Alberto Rodriguez saw them scoring 28 and 26 points respectively.

Their next match sees Team Northwest host the Limerick Sport Eagles at ATU on the 23rd of November, with tip-off at 6pm.

The team also wishes to thank Kieran Barron from Value Centre Letterkenny for his sponsorship of the side.
