An ongoing water outage in the Glenties area is related to power outages from Storm Bert.

It’s understood that a water pump was damaged after power went out in the area.

Repair crews are still on the scene, both from the ESB and Uisce Eireann.

Almost 500 people remain without power in Glenties, with the ESB estimating that power will be restored by 8pm this evening.

Meanwhile, the water outage is not expected to be fixed until almost midnight.

Uisce Eireann say that repairs will be completed by 11:55pm tonight.
