This Friday, 29th November is the deadline for submitting nominations for the 2024 Donegal Sports Star Awards.
2024 has seen a string of successes for teams and individuals from the county so it’s important now that those achievements are acknowledged by being included among the list of nominees for the 49th Donegal Sports Star Awards which take place on Friday 31st January in the Mount Errigal Hotel.
The sporting successes must have taken place during the calendar year 2024. Once again Donegal County Council is the exclusive sponsor and the Local Authority has been involved with the Donegal Sports Star Awards since the late 1970s when they started sponsoring the school categories.
Chairperson Grace Boyle stressed the importance for clubs and sporting organisations across Donegal of making sure that the achievements of teams and individuals are recognised in the list of 2024 nominees when it comes to the gala banquet where the stars from a wide array of sports will come together for a very special night at the end of January.
