The Kernan Group will be Finn Harps’ main sponsor for the 2025 season.

The Kernans brand will be displayed on the soon to be launched new First Team Home and Away jerseys and across all official club platforms for the forthcoming campaign.

Finn Harps Commercial Manager Aidan Campbell believes the partnership is a huge boost for the Harps community at an exciting time for the club.

“Everyone at Finn Harps is delighted that Kernans have come on board as our main sponsor for 2025.

Kernans have been a terrific sponsor partner for our academy in recent years, so it is great news for everyone at Finn Park they will now be on the front of our senior teams jersey.

A lot of the Kernans staff are regulars at our home games, and Anthony is, of course, a former Harps player, so we are looking forward to making the partnership a huge success.“

The Kernan family have been involved in retailing since the 1920’s. Now in third generation ownership under the stewardship of Anthony Kernan who joined the business in 1990, Kernan’s have 12 locations throughout Co. Donegal & Co. Mayo. Their first store was opened in Newtowncunningham and the company has continued to grow from there expanding throughout Donegal employing over 180 people and serving their communities with passion.

Anthony Kernan’s connection with Finn Harps is a longstanding one, dating back to the late 1980s when he played for the club, making 28 appearances and scoring seven goals after a period playing in England with Wolves and Brighton. This deep-rooted history gives his current involvement a sense of continuity and passion.

Since 2021, the Kernan Group has sponsored the Finn Harps Academy, emphasising their dedication to supporting young players. Kernan’s have now extended this sponsorship to the entire club, reflecting a robust partnership aimed at empowering the next generation of footballers.

Speaking on the partnership, Anthony Kernan said, “We’re excited to continue our support for Finn Harps, a club that means so much to me. The Kernan Group is proud to sponsor the entire club and help nurture the next generation of talent. It’s all about giving young players the chance to shine.”

Finn Harps Chairperson Ian Harkin added “It makes me feel very proud that a thriving local company like Kernans will be sponsoring all our teams from youngest academy sides right up to our senior squad.

There are already a number of joint projects in the pipeline so it promises to be a genuinely exciting time for both Harps and Kernans.”
